Workshop: An Alternative Approach to Development
Alternative Beirut and Jibal offer a two-day workshop directed at diplomatic staff, donor organisations, and development aid workers. The workshop seeks to provide a space to critically reflect on the development and aid work, while giving an alternative and holistic approach to politics in Lebanon, avoiding the dangers of single story narrative. The workshop is multidisciplinary, and takes into consideration history, society, development, socio-culture, geography and economy.

Alternative Beirut is happy to collaborate with Nader Bahsoun to launch the Street Photography workshop.
The workshop is designed for beginner and intermediate photographers who want to acquire the skill of street photography. With a focus on observation and framing, you will start developing your own unique storytelling style. You will learn diverse approaches to street portraiture, directing the street, and balancing the foreground and background. The 3-4 hours street journey will help nurture your creativity and expand your artistic vision.
